Matching Grants

Franklin-Simpson Renaissance makes available matching facade grants as an incentive for the rehabilitation of historic commercial structures within the Downtown Commercial District. These grants are available to property owners who wish to rehabilitate the exterior of a historic structure. Renovation of the interior of a structure is not eligible. Renaissance offers stacking grants in the categories listed below. These categories are for a 50/50 matching grant with Renaissance’s match not to exceed $2,000 maximum match for each category or $15,000 per building.
